The basic rings do cost more than pieces from the IO E TE collections, "KARMA" for example, this is because the laser machine (with which every letter is created), has to be reset for every unique ring. This takes time to do. Every ring gets clamped, your word has to programmed so that it fits on the ring with the right interspacing. Every letter is a new challenge. With the word "KARMA" the machine gets adjusted once and then we can produce "KARMA" rings whenever we wish because the machine has already stored the word.
